Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern your use of the RideCN website (ridecn.com) and all travel services provided by RideCN ('we', 'our', 'us'). By booking a tour or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

RideCN operates as a platform connecting international travelers with licensed, vetted private-car drivers across China. We coordinate logistics, quality, and support -- but the transportation service itself is provided by independently licensed drivers and vehicle operators.

Booking confirmation: A booking is confirmed once we receive a 30% deposit and send you a written confirmation email containing your itinerary, driver assignment, and total pricing.

Pricing: All prices on our website are quoted in USD and are per vehicle, not per person. Prices include vehicle, driver, fuel, tolls, and parking. They do not include accommodation, meals, attraction tickets, flights, or gratuities.

Payment schedule: 30% deposit at booking; remaining 70% due 7 days before your tour departure date. For bookings made within 7 days of departure, full payment is required at booking.

Payment methods: We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, bank wire transfer, Alipay, and WeChat Pay.

Currency: Prices are listed in USD. If paying in another currency, your bank's exchange rate at the time of payment applies.

Cancellation policies apply from the moment your booking is confirmed:

- 14+ days before departure: Full refund of all payments made.

- 7 -- 13 days before departure: 50% refund of total booking value.

- Less than 7 days before departure: No refund, but you may reschedule to any date within 12 months at no extra charge (subject to availability).

- No-show: No refund and no rescheduling credit.

Refund processing: Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5 -- 10 business days. Bank processing times may vary.

RideCN-initiated cancellations: In the rare event that we must cancel a tour (e.g., extreme weather, road closures, government restrictions), you will receive a full refund or may reschedule at no cost.

Before departure: You may request itinerary changes (adding/removing cities, adjusting dates) up to 48 hours before departure. Changes may affect pricing, and any difference will be communicated before confirmation.

During the tour: Minor itinerary adjustments (e.g., spending more time at one stop, skipping another) can be discussed directly with your driver. Major route changes may require coordination with our operations team.

Overtime charges: If your tour extends beyond the scheduled duration, overtime charges apply at the per-hour rate specified in your booking confirmation (typically $25 -- $50 per hour depending on the vehicle class). Your driver will inform you before any overtime begins.

As a traveler using RideCN, you agree to:

- Provide accurate personal information for booking and, where applicable, visa documentation.

- Be ready at the agreed pickup location and time. Drivers will wait up to 30 minutes; after that, the booking may be marked as a no-show.

- Treat your driver and vehicle with respect. RideCN reserves the right to terminate service without refund in cases of abusive, dangerous, or illegal behavior.

- Comply with Chinese laws and regulations during your trip, including traffic safety rules.

- Ensure you have valid travel documents (passport, visa) for your trip. RideCN is not responsible for denied entry due to documentation issues.

Driver qualifications: All RideCN drivers hold valid Chinese driving licenses, have a minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience.

Vehicles: All vehicles in our fleet are under 5 years old, fully insured, and maintained on a bi-weekly schedule. Vehicle models may be substituted with equivalent or higher-tier alternatives based on availability.

Driver assignment: We match drivers to your route based on expertise, language skills, and availability. Specific driver requests are accommodated when possible but not guaranteed.

Vehicle insurance: All RideCN vehicles carry comprehensive third-party liability insurance as required by Chinese law.

Passenger liability: We carry additional passenger liability coverage up to ¥1,000,000 CNY per incident.

Limitations: RideCN is not liable for losses or damages arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, government actions, road closures, traffic delays, or acts of third parties.

Personal belongings: RideCN is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings left in the vehicle. We recommend travel insurance that covers personal property.

Travel insurance: We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, and personal belongings.

All content on ridecn.com -- including text, images, logos, route descriptions, and design -- is owned by RideCN and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

User-submitted reviews and photos may be used by RideCN for marketing purposes. By submitting a review, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your content.

We aim to resolve all disputes amicably. If you have a complaint, please contact us at [email protected] within 3 days of tour completion.

If we cannot resolve the matter directly, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Chengdu, People's Republic of China, and governed by Chinese law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on our website. Bookings made before a change remain subject to the Terms in effect at the time of booking.
